Does anyone know how I can delete the news stories in Boonex Site News so I can create my own site news?
Hi All,
Does anyone know how I can delete the news stories in Boonex Site News so I can create my own site news? |
login to admin - click tools - then site news |
I think he's refering to the one that says boonex news on the index page. I too would like to know this. |
Hi ChinaJ,
I actually resolved my issue. What I did was go into admin panel/Pages Builder/HTML Block (under samples) and drag it up to the active blocks.
Once in the active blocks, you can then click on the new block, give it a new heading and then simply type in the body. However, I found that once you save the block, you can't edit it; so make sure that the text you write is correct the first time. You can also type in hyperlinks.
With the Boonex Site News; simply drag it down to the inactive blocks.
Hope this helps |
Actually in page builder I couldn't do that because page builder had the constent loading for all sections. However, what I did discover on my own is that the install routine is messed. It chmods the folders incorrectly and asks for /inc/ to be cmodded incorrectly without clarification of a true value to keep site running. Answer for everyone having this issue: chmodd to 777 /inc/js/classes/ = 777 /inc/js/ = 777 /inc/ = 755 |

Why not leave the original news block and simple change the name of the block |
