Site Stopped showing on IE

Hey,

I am having a nightmare. My site just stopped being compatible with IE. I am really confused as it has been working fine for the last 2 years and now just the logo and menu are visible. What's happening? The other pages are also visible but it isn't showing the content for the index page in the box as it would normally show the blocks. I was changing the html blocks on the backend page builder and I made one of them only viewable to guests and I think it happened here but how could this be the problem? I put it back to how it was but nothing! Firefox and Chrome are woprking fine! I cleared my cache and cookies etc etc....

Anyone had this issue? What can I do?

Thanks

M

Ok, I found the problem, thanks to this older post - http://www.boonex.com/forums/topic/Index-Page-IE8.htm.

Basically, it is something to do with the html box which replaces the promo images on the basic settings menu. If you change this text and edit and paste a few times it somehow manages to put a load of junk into the html and then it just won't show the blocks on internet explorer and a few others. So just check the html and remove junk text and it will be fine.

I would not be writing this if it wasn't for Zarcon, Mauricecano, Rhimpr, and Jasond who figured this out before.

Thanks

Thanks for posting and keep us informed.

Have you ever come across a situation where you are unable to write articles when in IE? Works in FF and other browsers but not IE?

I have found this to be a very common problem and have had to ask many times for developers to fix modules that do not display correctly in IE.

 Hi,

I haven't used the articles mod yet as I just cant stand the stupid spammers. So I probably wont use it. I am having problems with IE in general and also Firefox keeps crashing lately!!! Whats going on!!

Good luck to both of you on this. Let us know if it gets resolved either way.
