home.php is not a default file, so something has been changed. BoonEx Certified Host: Zarconia.net - Fully Supported Shared and Dedicated for Dolphin |
Hey Nathan, thanks for helping. Any pointers on how to troubleshoot? I haven't been working on it. Thanks again, J Vets Unite - The Veterans Benefits Advocates |
Hey Nathan, thanks for helping. Any pointers on how to troubleshoot? I haven't been working on it. Thanks again, J I have no idea. It's obvious that you made changes, but I don't know what you've actually done. BoonEx Certified Host: Zarconia.net - Fully Supported Shared and Dedicated for Dolphin |

Since there's no home.php in the public_html directory - I'd assume that either you've been working on it, you moved something by accident (perhaps from the chat or board folders which is the only home.php file I see on my install), or someone else has messed with your stuff.
I know that for redirects and splash pages, I've seen people recommend renaming index.php to home.php. Perhaps you did this at some point? Do you have an index.html or index.php file (or both) in your root?
If it was me, I'd just rename home.php to homex.php to keep it from being seen by the software - and let the default index.php take over and see if that fixes it. (But I wouldn't delete it b/c I've learned the hard way, do NOT delete stuff if you don't know what it is) |
Peeking at your site, I see that there is indeed a file at vetsunite.com/index.html. Looking at the source code on that page, it is indeed calling the home.php file. Which looks to me like what is happening is a failed redirect of either a login or splash page. (Which would be a REALLY weird hacker action! lol)
Your administration panel seems to be accessible - what do you see when you log in there? What does it show as the page to redirect on login? What does the code in index.html, index.php and home.php tell you? |
yeah you were hacked. the cyber gremlins hacked into your heavily popular site, and wrote a redirect from index.php to home.php, and also wrecked up your templates. Could I have been hacked? ? NO dude, you were not hacked. why do you think you were hacked?
i did get a laugh out of the inquiry though. HACKED~! pffffftttt seriously? When a GIG is not enough --> Terabyte Dolphin Technical Support - Server Management and Support |
