Sitemap content pages

I generated the sitemap for my website, but I would like to prevent some pages to be available for crawling.

F.i. the profile and photos pages I don't want to be shown in search engines.

Is that possible ?

you can do this thru deny via htaccess or robot.txt.

I checked the forum on sitemap and only found how to generate it. Maybe I should check on robots.txt :-)
