Sites & Anonymous posters

Question : in the administration panel i can allow non-members to add sites. But it doesn't work.

It doesnt show the button to add a site, and if i go directly to the url

http://www.somedomain.nl/m/sites/browse/my/add

it gives access denied.

How can i allow non-members to add a site?

OMG... why on earth would you want to allow any site visitor to add a site?  You may as well call Google right now and ask them to blacklist your site.  Have you thought about the consequences of someone posting a malware site?.... a dozen malware sites?  Luckily for you, it hasn't worked.   Don't do it.

My opinions expressed on this site, in no way represent those of Boonex or Boonex employees.

sites added by non-members will be checked before publishing

Anyway it's looked as bug. What version of  dolphin do you use?

PS: If possible do not write me personally, please try to ask on the forum first

just wondering how they are going to be checked before the are published. i dont think this is a bug, because you would tend to believe the logic would dictate that a member is the only one who can 'add a site' because this is tracked, and the non-member guest is not trackable.

sites added by non-members will be checked before publishing

if you allow anonymous to post there is no methodology for you to approve or deny the sites that would be added.

bad idea.

If you want site submissions from any party why not create a toplists set-up (http://www.aardvarktopsitesphp.com) and then at least you can get some backlinks through that for your site. You could install it as an iFrame in a new page in Builders and link it via your Nagivation Menu on Dolphin. Then there's no worry about who is a member and who isn't.

smth like this would be fantastic to have.

Digg kind of style functionality within Boonex. Digg community.

How hard or easy is it to install this using iframe?

Below is the legacy version of the Boonex site, maintained for Dolphin.Pro 7.x support.
