Last night I was trying to test out the sound module, I could upload a mp3 with no problem, But I could not find anywhere to approve it, I keep getting a link saying pending for approval, But when I clicked on the approval link up by the fail link there was nothing to approve, actually it makes very little sense why I needed to approve anything considering I uploaded it as a admin, I have to actually approve my own stuff as a admin? So just where or how do I do this? |
Have you tried to check the setting for approval from admin panel in sound module? Umar Haroon |
ok I found the area you are talking about when I click on sounds it shows a key word and member search, below it shows sounds to be empty, when I click on pending it shows the files but there is nothing to click on to activate them... |
May be that file was not processed properly...try to clear cache and public cache after changing settings..always. Now try to upload a new file and see if it shows in modules admin view Umar Haroon |
where exactly do you set the sittings you are referring always located at ? |
In admin panel go to modules>Sounds> on Right side you will see the setting and other option like pending processed etc Umar Haroon |
Yep did that, Please check your pm... |

Do you have a cron setup and running?
Videos and now sounds are done via a cron job.

Plus depending on how big the file is and when your cron is ran. It may take time to have it processed. If it is not in failed then just wait. It might take a few just like videos. And everyone sees waiting for approval until the file is converted over or processed. If it takes more then a hour and not a big file. You have problems with your cron like newton27 said.

Can this be done on shared web hosting ? |
Can this be done on shared web hosting ?
Yes, but to be honest, that's where the shared hosting companies get you.
You may run it, but to many at once and you start eating away at the whole system resources and you get slapped on the hand so to say.

Ok I reinstalled dolphin (again) so I could get to that part about the cron job, the cron tool in my cpanel does not have things such as open in advance linux or what ever, I copied and paste that link that was given and added to the cron, updated my email and set for a year for sending me emails, I got a email saying Could not open input file: /home/user/public_html/dolphin/periodic/cron.php, What did I do wrong ? |

Your need to try different types of cron statements.
