Speeding up site suggestions please

Does anyone have any methods of speeding up the site as I think it is starting to affect my Google ranking?

There are lots of posts about this. The search feature here works pretty well.

You can start here.....

Thank you Skyforum. As luck would have it, it seems that you need a VPS or dedicated server as the compression trick won't work on shared servers and luckily I am moving my site to a VPS tonight so will try it out tomorrow.

I've only been using Dolphin for a couple of days but I can already see that the major problem with load times is due to the data that is called from the boonex server, like the news etc. I imagine the only way around that is by purchasing a license, which I intend to do.

In fact the other day when the boonex servers were offline, I couldn't get my installation of Dolphin to load at all.

The license is only required to remove the boonex footers and logos on the flash apps. That is all you need it for. If you do not care about those boonex logos, than you do not need a licence other than the free one.

You do not need a licence to remove the news feed. Just go into page builders and drag it out of the page to the inactive block.

Yes very true, but those footers stopped my site from loading when the boonex servers were offline the other day, I've already disabled the news feed so I know it wasn't that, apologies for misleading you with my previous statement.

I wasn't complaining, far from it, just trying to offer what little I've discovered about this great piece of software so far. ;)

Not sure if this goes against your license, but if you want to maintain a free version, and display the Boonex logo, why not save the logo to your local folder. That way, it is not pulling the image from a remote server. Not to mention, if you are setting up a SSL certificate, having an image being pulled from a remote server will break your SSL.
