Standard error page instead of "database query error"????

Drives me nuts that when someone tries to add someone to a privacy group when they are already added, it returns the horrid blank page with "database query error' instead of a nice little message, "This person is already in your privacy group."

It makes the site look broken, when indeed it is not.

How do I change this response?

All database errors are handled by one function. Isolating one may not be possible without a lot of coding work.

However, this appears to me to be a bug. Dolphin should be checking to see if someone is already in a privacy group before trying to add them which would prevent the database error to begin with.

Come up with a list of steps to reproduce and report it as a bug.

It happens in several areas of the site, not just privacy group, where if you try to do an action that has already happen it gives a database query. I, unfortunately, haven't kept a list of where it happens. I'll bug report the one I know and see if I can't poor through my 485 page "notes of changes and fixes" document. (NO, I'm not exaggerating... 485 pages in a year and a half!) and find other incidences.

Thanks!
