Status Submit button not working

On member's profile page, the status update does not work.  The submit button does not work.  I remember seeing a couple of posts regarding others having the same problem.   Was there a solution to this?

It is working as expected without issues for me. What web browser are you using when trying this?

What Firefox version are you using? It has worked fine for me in multiple versions.

mine's not working on explorer either.  There were some other posts regarding users having the same problem

Question: do you get any emails after you try and use this feature (just asking, as you can imagine why)? Also, what are your permission levels for files and directories?

I wouldn't rely on that too much. Can you tell me the levels as numbers?

Using a FTP client, examine the permission for a file and a directory, and list the permission levels for each.

They're all 755 except for "inc" which is 744

I just changed the inc file permissions and the status works now.
