Still Not Even Close To 7.0.3

3 estimates have been blown for this release already and we are still not even to 50% complete.

Some things never change.

Per the new rules I would just like to thank Boonex for their hard work and dependability. If there is anything a person can count on here, it is that when Boonex says something will happen....... they will say it again, and again, and again. At some point it may even happen! Boonex is wonderful that way : )

It really is a pleasure to receive all of this free patience training. I'm afraid I'm not a very good student though. I've been doing this for several years and I'm still falling short of understanding the benefits of it all. Oh well.

Your sarcasm has been recognized. I've learned that BoonEx doesn't really grasp how much time it will really take for them to complete something. I've told Andrew in the past to watch what he says regarding release dates, or else the whole Dolphin 7 release fiasco will once again be upon us.

7.0.3 is supposed to be more than a bug-fix release. We've made a bunch of security updates, full forum upgrade and work on speed.

Well..... it was originally supposed to be released in July, then early August, then about a week after the forums went live. Of course those never happened.

Thankfully Boonex is working night and day so I would only expect it to be another couple of months, unless something else catches their attention. I'm guessing there is another set of vacations coming for those who haven't gotten them yet & that will take time so I'm thinking Halloween or Thanksgiving(?)

I'm certain we can expect something by New Years Day so there really isn't any hurry. It's only time.  : )

Either way, I am so very grateful that 7.0.3 isn't done since it gives me more time to do other things. ....like wait & wait for my website to load, or shave my now gray beard. (Funny thing is that it wasn't gray when I started this - no joke)

BoonEx doesn't have release dates for their products. If they do, they don't like telling us.

Ohhh I do not know that.

Thats the reason Andrew Boon called BoonEx as a "different" company, a better company. They always try hard to stick to their core values(i.e, Do not publish release date and always provide incorrect information about release date to the customers), and this is their honesty.

We're getting there. I do have the odd suspicion that some tickets were moved to another milestone.

I was released at 27 of August 2005 after a death sentence, a life sentence and 40 year sentence in Thailand. Germany gave me 15 years and I made it out in 7.5 years.

Sometimes it takes more time to be released and sometimes its even faster than anyone would think of, but for me it was still too long.

We all could write a petition for the release of D 7.0.3!

I have learned to wait and even though I would probably sign that petition, I will be more happy with a smooth D 7.0.3 then with one pushed out which might at they end delay D7.1

I'm looking into the future and Dolphin as well as BoonEx will be there!

I would definitely have to say that I would rather BoonEx take the time to check, double-check, and triple-check the version before releasing it. What I hoped to see is a stable version of Dolphin 7 released.

We all pretty much know that with every release, there have been many issues found.. so we wait. 7.0.0, found issues.. wait.. 7.0.1, found issues wait..., 7.0.2, found issues wait..., 7.0.3 ?? dont know yet. Trying to rush the next version release, will only cause the exact same things we have gone through in the past versions. Just give it some time. If you need specific things fixed until then, check TRAC to see if there is already a resolution and take the needed actions.

My perspective is that if we have a Stable version of D7, then we wouldn't mind the "wait" until the next version, whether its D8 or D7.0.4. It would then be a matter of "if" you felt like upgrading or not. It wouldn't be based on site functions not working.
