Stop users from uploading vids

Hi everyone

How do I stop my users from uploading videos and only let them embed youtube vids?

Cheers

This has been answered, do a search.  Memories are long.

to be very honest - i did search and i found various threads on that but not for d7

there was talking about editing the function actiongetvideosuploader but i do not find this function anywhere

If you could probably tell me how to just remove the items in the dropdown menu so that ppl can't see them anymore, that would already be absolutely helpful

kind regards biggi

I guess it is there.  Thanks for showing them OKWeb.

Love it when they say they searched and know it doesn't exist then it suddenly pops up.  Maybe we should quit hiding these things from them.  LOL

Listen mydatery.

Please remember the internet is a big resource, unity is a large resource. We might be able to find what we want most the time but search engines aren't always efficient.

I am sorry for not finding what I was looking for, and I'm sorry for asking on a forum. Where people are there to ask & help for things.

Thanks OKWeb for the link. I will check it out. If it's not what it is then I might hesitate to post here again.

Mydatery, i did come across this thread, don't worry.

i admit i am a noob and i am probably silly coz im german, but i have no idea what to do with instructions like

"For deleting unnecessary upload options from any of BoonEx uploaders need to delete elements from array, which is returned by getUploaderSwitcher method of Bx(ModuleName)Config.php file. If current module hasn't this method (like in BxVideosConfig.php) then method should be completely redeclared - u may see detailed example in Files module, see file modules/boonex/classes/BxFilesConfig.php - it has less uploaders than other."

But i am here to read and learn, so thanks for your useful comment which you probably consider as being sort of "humourous" but in fact it arrives at the reader as impolite and arrogant.

THANKS OKweb for posting this link though.

Kind regards, Biggi

Biggie, you got hit with that inadvertently and to you I apologize.  Had you asked the question first I would have provided you with the full instructions to fix the problem.

Your counterpart knows exactly why he got hit with that.  It more than likely has to do with him accusing me falsely of something in a public arena that I did not do.  Hence the statement towards him of... "Memories are long."   He knows exactly what I'm talking about and his innocent act is a complete and total farce.

And for you PeterWanker, you have alot of balls making a statement like that in regards to searching when you claim to be in India but from Washington and have such a vast amount of experience in regards to sites functionality.

Biggie,

Check your e-mail, the solution is in it.  Well, it will be in about 5 minutes.  Again, I apologize you got caught in that cross-fire there.
