Store - linking files form another server

I need to link my store to a bunch of files on another server.

Each file will be an individual product in the store.

Is it possible to do this?

They're pretty big files so dont want all the dload bandwidth being used up and slowing the script down...

Any ideas?

Hi yes it is possible, I did a similar modification of a few weeks ago. I took a module events and rewrote the storage of files on another server. Post this in a jobs section please

Do you think doing this with store would then open up being able to ftp files straight to server and then link up, or would they still have to go through the whole upload through script process?

Just that theyre pretty big files!
