Switching Dolphin

I am leaving Dolhpin :( and will go elsewhere. When I transfer my domain name will all the members be transfer too? or will everything be fresh. My members find Dolphin too hard to maneuver so I will be using a simpler script ( Buddypress).

You will need to transfer your members over to the new script, which is by no means an automated process. Depending on where you're heading to, there may be some form of a paid support service that can do it for you.

I guess you'll have to change your signature now.

Well, to be perfectly honest, if you think all your members would somehow be magically transferred to Buddypress just because you decided to use it, you are going to need all the luck you can get on the way to that billion!

I guess it all depends on the type of site, and for lack of a better way to put it, the average "intelligence" level of your members.  I would expect that a site that catered to engineering professionals would have less usability complaints, than a site whose members were say, the international potato diggers union.

So stay with Dolphin and just trim it down a bit. The wife is usually right. Sometimes. Sort of. In a way.

You made the right choice.. Dolphin is such a powerful script And like Joewa said just tune it up, change some keys, do away with unused blocks and mods and you'll see results.
