Hello, I'm using dolphin 7.0.6 and the drag and drop feature on the profile fields and pages block is not working anymore. The navigation menu and member menu drag and drop feature is still working. Any idea what could be causing this? I had an upgrade from dolphin 7.0.5 about 2 weeks ago it is just now I resume building my website. I will ask my web host with their upgrade and check. I have no other modules installed except for the fee deanos tools and template and I have this since 7.0.4 and I have ask the developer if their modules are compatible with 7.0.6. I don't think it's the module. I cleared my cache using admin but going to the ftp I haven't done that yet, I don't know how to clear cache using ftp. If there is any help I would I appreciate it. Thanks in advance for whoever answer this post. |

Do you have secure way of communicating? like an extra e-mail address that is not attach to your credit card or anything valuable. You could post that email address here and I will send you my admin password using that email address. By the way I'm looking forward to buy your friendly mailer. Do you have secure way of paying that product like paypal? |
Don76, you seem to have the same problems that I had and having again some what. I was going weeks on end trying to find an answer to why my HTML blocks stopped working and couldn't paste any codes as well as I couldn't move them around. I got a hold of a Dolphin tech and was told try using another browser. I was using IE-9 of which was an update from 8. I am now using Firefox. Everything started working again just fine. But now I am not able to work on a page that I already created. When I go to edit and try to bring up the page in my Page Builder, it will not come up. Every other page is working great.
But I do have a working website again now that I changed browsers. What browser are you using?

Thanks Jagsinc1 for posting here I do appreciate. I'm using IE-9. Do you think using a different browser like firefox or google chrome would be a solution? So I could build my website again by just changing the web browser. It seems dolphin 7.0.6 is not compatible with IE-9. We can build our website by using different browser which is completely fine with me, my question is how about the people or the visitors of my website using IE-9 will these people be affected? We have to know the extent of dolphin 7.0.6 incompatibility with IE-9 and what is causing that problem and what is our options or solutions to that problem. It could either be a dolphin bug that should be investigated or IE-9 bug. If it's the bag of IE-9 then we can't do anything to change IE-9 I just don't know if boonex administrators would adapt to IE-9. The boonex administrators should be aware of this. |
I agree with you Don76, Boonex should be aware of the problem. I use to use IE-8 until 9 came along as an upgrade. That's when all the problems that I had came about. I would say that as a admin to our sites, no other members should be affected with this problem when they use their own browser. I'm not sure what type of site you have? I've been building a community site. The only problem that I have now is one of my pages that I greated will not come up on the Page Builder, so that I could add more to it. The page is there when viewing it but I can't edit it now. This happen yesterday so I am looking to find the problem out. By the way, I am using Dolphin 7.4.
When you upgraded to 7.6, did it cost you anything? or was it a free upgrade?
|
I'm building a community website too. Yes my upgrade from 7.0.4 up to 7.0.6 was always free and will stay that way. I have a good webhost TMD hosting all the installation and all the upgrade are free. Of course they have exceptions like too many installation they will charge you or very difficult installation they may not do it and let the 3rd party install it. So you save a lot of money by having TMD hosting because you don't pay for the installation and upgrade unlike others and they have good defense against dDOS (direct denial service of attack). DDOS will put your website down if it gets popular like boonex.com which was attacked recently. About your problem I think you should be asking other people from boonex.com I'm not an expert in computer but I'm studying programming. I'm very sorry I can't help you right now. But I'm interested in your problem. Did you install new modules? Or did you change codes? When you upgrade there might be incompatibility with the modules. Or do you clean cache regularly? |
don76, problem has been solved. I had to create another page and it's all working just fine now. It was something small that I didn't do correctly. I check out your site by the way, not bad at all. I use Arvixe as my hosting provider. Have a good weekend! |
Jagsinc1 good to know that your problem is solved. Have a nice weekend too. |
I agree with don76 und tried to use IE compatibility mode (see pic) - it works but should not be the great end solution for IE9 users. |
I already made a ticket for Internet Explorer's problems with the page builder. Expect a fix in Dolphin 7.1. BoonEx Certified Host: Zarconia.net - Fully Supported Shared and Dedicated for Dolphin |
