This Forum DESPERATELY needs this ....

Hey Boonex, how about the ability to mark queries in this forum as solved once a definitive answer has been provided to a specific problem? Solved topics could have a colored checkmark on them (or whatever you decide). Signed in members could mark their own topics as answered as well as any moderator.

That would be a great help to most newbies. Many tech forums for Windows, Linux, Sat TV, etc. have been making something like that available for the past couple of years. Not only would people be able to benefit better and faster, but it would automatically make the search option considerably more friendly to all of us newbs at the same time.

No one would take the time to do it, even if it was just a few seconds of their time.

Hopefully one day they will take the time to install a new platform script that will allow for greater control and customability both here and for our sites.

It's just a tick, takes less than a second to check a default box that says ... solved.
This works like a charm on other forums, there's no reason why it wouldn't work here too. And when someone's too lazy to check that box then a moderator can always check it too. A forum with that feature can save many users hours of grief and reading time.
