Time Format

I'm pretty sure this has been addressed here at length, but I'll be damned if I can find the right thread.

I want to change the time format to 12 hour instead of the 24 one that is default. Is this possible?

I tried using the php time format and changed the %H to a %I but it seemed to break the first part of the time display. e.g. everything was showing up 0:33, 0:12, etc.

Please don't slap me for asking this question. I *did* search.
