Turning Off Functionality

Is it possible to disable certain functionality like forums, classifieds, music, boards, etc? I'd like to remove things that are not being used from the site and the nav bar.

Thanks.

You can remove anything from the nav bar within admin > Builders > Navigation Menu Builder

Just click on a menu item block, uncheck the visibility boxes for member and guest, and save.

If you want to remove the functionality completely, that's a little more involved.  Removing the nav links doesn't disable the functionality, it just hides it.  Some of it can still be used if you know the url and access it directly.

My opinions expressed on this site, in no way represent those of Boonex or Boonex employees.

To fully disable it you must:

go to membership levels and remove it from the membership type.

Turn off promo mode

Turn off Free mode

rename the URL of the pages you want gone.

Remove the rewrite commands for that item from .htaccess

Remove the DB Tables for that item

Now that item will be gone.

Yes, in dolphin7 all easy - you can uninstall unnecessary modules via admin panel.

In 6.1.x and lower - you should do something by own hands,

clean navigation menu, ... even files deletion

Thanks again.
