Ugrade to 7.1.5

I am trying to upgrade to D7.1.4 to D7.1.5, I transferred the files properly & replaced the old ones.
I removed .htaccess that is under /upgrade folder.

Next step from the doc which is:  http://your-domain.com/path-to-dolphin/upgrade/

Lets say my domain is called world.com, so I did this:

http://world.com/upgrade/  then it took me to a page as if <upgrade> is a member name, I didn't see any button to click on so I can finish the upgrade..

Am I missing anything ? Do I need to replace this folder: <path-to-dolphin>  with anything ?

 Thanks for your help!

It looks like you left out the path to DOLPHIN in your upgrade url. What folder is your DOLPHIN script installed in? This would be your path to DOLPHIN which you much include in the upgrade url. I have my DOLPHIN script installed in a folder called public. So my upgrade url path would look like this:

http://mydomain.com/public/upgrade

Hopefully you backed up your site. I will take a stab here. Looks as though the only executable file is index.php. You could try 'http://world.com/upgrade/index.php'

My guess here is that you did not upload the files to the site properly.

First job is to back up your site files and database.

Second, you upload the files inside of the Dolphin Patch directory; don't click on Dolphin-Patch-v.7.1.5 and upload that directory.  You will open that directory on your local computer, inside will be a list of directory and or files.  You select all of those files and then transfer them to your site; and I suggest doing it in binary mode.

If you upload properly it will overwrite the files on the site with the new ones; which is why you do the backup first, in case of an oops.

Then when you go to http://yoursite/upgrade, it will run the upgrade script.

It sounds as it you did it correctly.  if the upgrade directory is sitting in the Dolphin root, then it should work. It will open a page with nothing but the message that upgrade found and you click to proceed.

Have you set up any kind of redirects for your domain?  Is your domain pointing to the Dolphin root of your site?  Tell us a bit more about your setup.

First, I wanted to thank everyone who tried to assist..

I found the solution to my problem & I am sharing it in case you come across the same issue..

I happen to have a dedicated server, so I uploaded the patch files as root, therefore, all the patch files were uploaded as root owner which is a No No if you want to get the upgrade done properly. Instead, you need to login/ftp the files to your site as your site/domain owner, not root. So I had to change the owner of my site as follows:

chown -R world:world /home/world/public_html/*

Before, all the files I uploaded have root:root owner & that's how my upgrade went south :)

After that, I ran similar links as:  http://world.com/upgrade/index.php  and everything worked beautifully as you can see on the attached screenshot.

Thank you !
