Unable to play video

Searched and tried what I could through the forums and still no go with the video play.

- the file i uploaded is: file test.flv (126kb)
-according to the application the file is uploaded.
I'm assuming it uploades to the following folder (flash/modules/video/files) and if so its there.
- there's no thumnail image but when i click on the video "play" button which appears in the middle of the video nothing happens.
The sec. are 00.00

Tools->host tools - everything is green and at desired levels

flash/modules/video/files is set at 777
periodic/cron.php file is also set at 777
ffmpeg.exe to 777.

Video chat works
Host: Arvixe
D7
No mods or ext installed

Any ideas in how i can fix this?

Arvixe you say? I already know the problem and solution. The issue with Arvixe, is that they do not allow those kind of directory permissions. Set the directories to 755, then try again.

I had this same issue with a previous setup on their servers, and that solved the problem.

Also, that isn't an error email, it's a message by the cron daemon to tell you that the cron job has run, and the contents of the email provides you with information on what specifically ran during the process. In this case, ffmpeg.exe ran to process the video.

Awesome it works!!!

Thanks magnussoft.

I'm glad to see it worked.

To make sure you don't encounter any more permission issues, ensure all directories are set to 755 and all files are set to 644 (leaving ffmpeg.exe alone).
