Unable to upload videos to the "Video" section

Hello all... I've been trying to upload videos (not in a blog or forum post, but to the "Videos" section) . Using the multiload, I've tried uploading a 13 MB mp4 file, and also a 6 MB mp4. Both said "File upload failed" at the end of the upload. Why would that be...? Any suggestion greatly appreciated!

I also installed the Video module on 7.3.0 yesterday and Embed doesn't work. Here's an earlier thread I found but none of the suggestions worked for me.

https://www.boonex.com/forums/topic/YouTube-embed-fail-along-video-duration-missing.htm

I tried different permissions and different FTP methods but it just refuses to work and from what I read, it looks like the module may not work in its current format.

Oddly there hasn't been many complaints so it must be working for some people..

Has anyone resolved the problem or do they know what the problem is?

Yes, I cleared my caches.

ElAmargo:

is your cron running - make sure of that first. make sure you have the FFMPEG.exe (it is supposed to be an .exe file even if using linux. the .exe really means nothing) file uploaded and proper permissions. With working cron - you should get an email with the error and reason for video upload fail. Also check php.ini for upload size limitations.

go to the boonex demo site and see i f videos will upload there - if all works well - then it is something with your site - check and make sure cron is running and check emails for errors.

Professor, I've never dealt w/ cron jobs, but I just added my e-mail to the cron setup and a few minutes later I got this e-mail (I guess queued from yesterday?):

Failed loading /home/xvideos1/etc/ioncube/ioncube_loader_lin_5.5.so:  /home/xvideos1/etc/ioncube/ioncube_loader_lin_5.5.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Doesn't help me much though, so I guess I'll contact tech support :-\

setting up cron is one of the installation steps. It handles quite a few things - such as processing videos.
