Updated Dolphin 7.1.0 to 7.1.1 is impossible?

Hello,

I wanted to make updated Dolphin 7.1.0 to 7.1.1 it displays the following message:

7.1.0 - 7.1.1 Update can not be applied

Chances are you are at one of the 7.1.0 betas and not the final. Run the following query from in phpMyAdmin and show the results.

SELECT `VALUE` FROM `sys_options` WHERE `Name`='sys_tmp_version'

I just run the following query: SELECT `VALUE` FROM `sys_options` WHERE `Name`='sys_tmp_version'

On the application it displays: 7.1.0.B2

After what I do?

Then you are only at 7.1.0 Beta 2. You need to update to the 7.1.0 final first. This patch needs to be done first. http://www.boonex.com/trac/dolphin/wiki/7.1.0.B2-7.1.0

Then after that one is done. Re-Upload the 7.1.1 patch files and apply that update.

Same issue. won't upgrade. That is the upgrade failed in that I got no further message page other than unable to upgrade. It appears to be updated in the DB but I got no other instructions on what files to remove etc..

Just confirmed 7.1.1

Yours already says it's at 7.1.1 So of course it will not upgrade.

Unknown.

I miss the part where you said it failed. But you did not provide any other info. Where it failed, why it failed such as error messages, ect.

So it's impossible to tell.

But chances are it did not, and the only way to fix it would be to restore from backups and try again and this time pay very close attention to every detail such as errors that are displayed, why it failed, ect. There has to be more information other than the words "upgrade failed" which is of no use to diagnose a problem.

Ok, Just want to get back and put in what I did to fix this. Instead of going right to restoring the old DB and files I wanted to see if could be fixed simply.

Most likely the upgrade never took in the first attempt.

I went into the Database and changed the 'sys_tmp_version' back to 7.1.0

I then went through the normal upgrade procedure. This time it took. I got the green boarder text page of what was changed. And the instructions on what to do manually.

All is well!

Automatic part of upgade is completed. Please do the following to complete upgrade process:

Change the following lines in inc/header.inc.php file:

$site['ver']               = '7.1';
$site['build']             = '0';

to the following:

$site['ver']               = '7.1';
$site['build']             = '1';

Remove /upgrade/ directory
Clean /cache/, /cache_public/ and /tmp/ folders via FTP or SSH, leave only .htaccess file there if one exists
Recompile system language file from Admin Panel -> Settings -> Languages Settings -> Languages
Clean /cache/ folder again
Recompile Forum language file from Admin Panel -> Modules -> Forum -> Manage Forum
