Upgrade 6.1.2 to 6.1.5?

I've been scared of upgrading after my last upgrade which required me to manually move/create my 100 users to the new database (which was pain). Considering the free license issued kindly by boonex, I'm considering to upgrade from my 6.1.2 to 6.1.5. Can anyone advise me how to go about this? Any precautions and steps that I need to take? Do all my mods need to be reinstalled?

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Thx,

Zak

Well i did the upgrade, and there is no moving the users to the database, its just a matter of overwriting some files. I managed it ok, but it does seem that there are minor problems with the update that some people are experiencing. I dont know if you are planning to ugrade to 7, but it seems wise really if you are, not to really bother with this update as it does seem to be causing some people some headaches but wait untill 7 comes out, as this update for the 6.1.5 isnt going as smoothly as some would have hoped for.

I updated yesterday using FileZilla FTP and it was quite easy (even for me)! It was just a matter off sliding files from my hard drive on the left to my server on the right in FileZilla! By the way if you don't have FileZilla, download it as it is free! The only problem I experienced was with the admin login page so I re-uploaded the older version and everything works fine except the IM (but I already had an problem with that anyway before the update)! Good luck.

Thank you so much for your reply both of you.

Tyke, I may delay it until 7 comes out, like you sd.

Andy, so you didn't have any mods requiring a re-install after you upgraded the 6.1.2 to 6.1.5? Are you saying, the upgrade went smoothly, and just needed to overwright some files?See, I have so many mods that have modified so many files and if they get replaced during the upgrade, I fear of reinstalling those mods.

People are having a problem with the admin logo's and sign in box graphics not showing up. The fix for that is simple because for some reason the admin login page graphics are in the wrong folder and need moving. admin>images>icons is where they are now, so just move the new admin grafics to Admin>images and they will work fine then
