Your seeing that becuse you have not yet done step 2 in those instructions.

Ah but I did I read that page 25 times before I did anything and backed up everything but I did indeed delete that file before I uploaded the upgrade files.  Is that going to be problem?  I will delete it now again......

Step 1 is upload. Step 2 is delete the .htaccess file in the upgrade folder. Looks like you did it backwards.

Ok I did the upgrade and it looks like it worked just need to do these last things it is looking for.........

To clean the cache does that mean delete all the files in those folders? I assume?

Yes. The cache folder contains a .htaccess file leave that, but remove the rest.

There is also a flaw in the instructions. When you get to the part about reinstalling the profiler, do it last after the version number update in header.inc.php. You will get a error if you do it at the point it tells you to do it.

I think on your ftp server and the map flash like the urls says. :)

Installation of: Profiler Failed

Wait until you have finished the last step of the upgrade when you change this in inc\header.inc.php

$site['ver']               = '7.0';
$site['build']             = '0';


To This.

$site['ver']               = '7.0';
$site['build']             = '1';


After you have done that, then the profiler will install.

Ok I was able to change the permissions to the Devil numbers but this chmod -v thing makes me wonder if I need to do more than be the devil? If not the only thing I need to do to finish is the update from deano to finish it up........

The -v is for use when running chmod via a SSH shell. The -v means verbose. When changing permissions via FTP. the 666 is all you need to worry about.
