Upgraded ...now need advice

I finally took the plunge and uploaded the upgrade for 7.0.1  Thank Goodness it's finally done.

I just have two questions:

a.  Do we really need to clear out our cache and tmp folders?  (I have zillions of files in each one and can only delete 2,000 at a time.)

b.  When I recompiled my language files for all modules, all modules were recompiled except for chat.  For chat I get this message:

Fatal error: Class 'BxBoardInstaller' not found in /home/ustillup/public_html/inc/classes/BxDolInstallerUi.php on line 379

Any ideas?  Could it be that there are people in the chat rooms when I try to do this?

- The reason you need to clear cache is because new changes are not seen when the page is cached. Why you would have 1,000s of file in there is beyond me. I suppose if you had like 600+ members maybe.

- Does your Chat work at all? BxBoardInstaller would lead me to think of the White Board and not Chat.

Yeah, I now have over 20,000 members.  Sounds good, since I switched to this software and started at zero just a few months ago.  The problem, however, is to keep them coming back.  With around 250 new members a day, I now get less return visitors than I did a few months ago.  I'm not saying this is a problem with the script, as I really love this software.  I really don't know what the problem is.  I get dozens of emails a day from members asking to delete their accounts.  I always ask why, and the biggest reason is that they find the site too confusing or too hard to use.  (I don't find it hard.)

I just switched to this software from ablespace a few months ago, and I really want to try to make this thing work with Dolphin 7.

My chat still seems to work okay, though I have noticed way less people on their since the upgrade.  I wonder if there are any issues I haven't noticed. Boy it would be nice if members actually told you when there was something wrong, instead of just leaving and never coming back.

So is it really, really important to delete the cache and tmp folders?  I suppose I should.

What would be awesome is if someone here would be willing to spend some time on my chat and tell me if all is okay.  I've tried, but I'm really not an avid chatter...it all looks good to me....but I would really love to know why my numbers have been cut in half since the upgrade.
