Upgrading to 7.0.7

My admin page says to upgrade to 7.0.7.  I am not an expert in this field, but I have made quite a bit of modification to my dolphin 7.0.6. I do not keep track of those changes which I mostly picked up here, though none of them is anything major. So upgrading to 7.0.7 may affect my entire site and I do not want to start making the changes again. Is there a way to upload only certain files, especially those that are security related instead of upgrading the whole script?

oh sure you can, though you will find that you will spend far more time doing that, than if you had tracked your changes. there are a couple of ways to go about this. you can take a default 7.0.6, DIFF it on what you have, then go back in and comment your work, and create a changelog.

then based on your changelog, you can review the proposed changes on 7.0.7, and see which files you have in your changelog that correspond to files that are part of the upgrade package.

keep in mind, if you edited or added any sql changes those too will need to be DIFF'd.

so yes, it can be done, no its not easy or ala carte'

Thank you guys.  I"ll rather stick to 7.0.6 and put that energy and time towards promoting my site and dealing with Chinese spammers
