Uploading Avatar

Hello Everyone!

When new member join to my site and they upload the profile photo or avatar the photo is not saving on the profile album

any idea why this happen can you tell me how to get it to work to normal

Go to your own Avatar upload using the Dashboard> Avatar and see if there is a checkmark automatically in 'Copy to profile photos album'.

Yes is check and say >> Copy to profile photos album

but is not working on my site

many memebrs are uploading avatars but is not saving to the profile album and when you go to the profile page you don't

see the member photo

When you say "many" members, are you not referring to ALL members? Meaning some work and others don't?

If none are working then it may be a permission problem on the /tmp, /modules/boonex/photos/data/files, or /flash/modules/photos/files which all should be at least 755. Make sure that all the directories inside /modules/boonex/avatar/data/ are set to 755 also. Also make sure there is not a restriction on the membership type, if you have anything other than standard membership level.

Do they Avatars work for you? Does any photos work or is it just the Avatar upload?

I check the permision for

/tmp, /modules/boonex/photos/data/files  and /flash/modules/photos/files

they all set to 755 and the membership restriction is fine

when I say many is all my new members uploading the profile photo or the avatar is not saving to the profile album

I don't know why

I have the same problem. Only approved Members can Upload Avatars/Profile Photos. Unapproved Members can upload Avatars, but there was not saved in the Profile Page/Album.

I mean, this is a bug!  But how can i fix it?

It's not really a matter of not wanting to help, but a matter of not being able to. If no one knows the solution to your problem, then you will not get a reply. There are some cases when the right person just misses the topic, but still, it's not because no one wants to help.

It's not great, but that's life.

The another people with dolphin must have the same problem, but they find it not important. Very bad.... The overview of this forum is bad too... so you can not see old posts.... Only the new things....

So... You don't want Dolphin displaying the latest content first?

Ah 7.0.3 is now online... but is the problem fixed? Can anybody check it?
