Use Dolphin DB in osdate?

I was wondering if you can take the DB from the Dolphin 7.02 (1500 users) and move it to other script.

???

It's posible, just like if you were to take the database of another script and convert its membership to Dolphin. I recommend taking this up with the community of the script you're looking to move to, as they would know how to convert it to their's.

I wouldn't recommend you move away from dolphin. its a very nice software  but then if you so desire you can simultaneously setup an osdate site and synchronize dolphin db with osdate db... using a custom jfusion plugin.  you can then test out the two sites until you decide on a good choice.

Dolphin have good models but he's written so bad, until the site is really slow up.





all the hosting is in USA and for European or Middle Eastern people 

it is nightmare to work with this script.



I installed the osDate script on the same hosting (Arvix) and he's just run like normal site sould be and up fast.



Dolphin is a very nice portal script, more powerful and customizable than osdate, at the moment the template system /css seems to be too heavy and makes the site load slowly. Maybe you could find, create or buy a very good and light template to make your dolphin site load faster.

Alternatively you can use dolphin to power the back-end of your community site and use another software (such as joomla) for the presentational front-end.  example can be seen at  www.cmsdolphin.com    With dolphin as your portal, your users will enjoy many features now and in the future.  Or you may also think of mixing osdate (front) customized and linked with dolphin (backend)
