User Template Changes?

I see there is a setting to allow users to choose from installed site templates in the admin section, yet I can't see any way for users to actually choose from them on the client side.

Is there a place where users can choose from the installed templates?

And again, no response. I suppose I should be happy that my words weren't deleted arbitrarily as they have been at least twice in my short time here. Not that the silence to my posts does me any good. Maybe being really negative and calling people names is the way to draw attention here, but that's not how I operate. I have tried to help people with issues I knew the answer to. You cannot tell me that there isn't anyone who knows whether there is an ability to use mutiple templates with Dolphin. So I guess the support system needs to begin anew since people who have been using this for some time now aren't willing to bother themselves to help me, or anyone new out. Yet I constantly see so many of you complaining about Boonex. Go figure. The ad-free license is wonderful, but when there are things that don't work at all - and there is no support from anyone - the true value comes into perspective. Whoever has been deleting my comments should be fired. I haven't said anything wrong. I've only been supportive. I think it's a sad day when people who have been given power take it upon themselves to judge the value of words and trashes whatever they want. I wouldn't do that to anyone else, and I don't expect that it should be done to me. Now this may be deleted as the others have, but so be it. I've said it, copied it, and I will be happy to repost it. That way everyone can see what has been censored. But the people deleting my words are the same people who ignore my questions. Whatever.

There is a modification (mod) I have seen somewhere on www.expertzzz.com  where users can change themes.
Hope that this helps you

Try adding this:

.

__switch_skin_block__

.

Just below:

.

 __banner_left__

.

In:

.

templates/tmpl_uni/_header.html

.

And in   _header.html  of every template you have installed.(Some templates may already have this in _header.html)  You also must make sure the box is checked to allow user template changes in yoursite.com/admin  Settings>advanced settings.

.

This will put the template selection block in the upper left side of the screen outside of the main page.  People in these forums are usually pretty helpful.  Try to understand that it's been pretty hectic around here because there's a feeding frenzy on the licenses giveaway.

This doesn't require a mod.

Are you sure your posts were deleted here?  I can't see why anyone would do that for purely technical questions, given the kinds of post and language they do put up with here.  In any event, only two hours passed before you posted again and said "again, no response" - how fast did you expect people to respond?  I agree with your point though - this forum not only tolerates some of the people who launch personal attacks and name calling, it sometimes seems to encourage them.   I think I would also be angry if my posts were being deleted but is it possible you posted them on a different board on this forum and just can't find them?

p.s.  I don't know the answer to your templates question - if I did I would try to help.  I hope Houston's advice helps.

My advice is correct.

RuralMn, if you posted these questions in the blog section, they most certainly would have been deleted.

Below is the legacy version of the Boonex site, maintained for Dolphin.Pro 7.x support.
The new Dolphin solution is powered by UNA Community Management System.
