Users Cant Sign Up

I recently upgraded in steps  (all upgrades went fine) to 7.2.1.

Now when I try to register a new user from the popup JOIN button the form just says loading and never registers a user.

Any assistance appreciated.

Also don't have a clue whether I'm in the right forum since its all changed and now doesnt make sense to me.

Changed the code in builders/profile fields/ email advanced to:

return (bool) preg_match('/^([a-z0-9\+\_\-\.]+)@([a-z0-9\+\_\-\.]+)$/i', $arg0);

and works fine now.
