Using Ajax to flick between photo's

Hi. When going through photo's using the in-built photo's module, is there a way to not reload the page while going through the "left" and "right" arrows?

At the moment each time you view the next photo with the right arrow, the whole web page refreshes.

This makes no sense as it should be just an Ajax update.

If Dolphin doesn't support it internally, is there a mod that does?

Thanks.

It's a good thing if you run banner advertising that pays CPM rates (for impressions).

Cool

The more page views the better.

Maybe yes, but I'm currently taking the site through closed beta testing at the moment and it's very annoying for users to have the page refreshes all the time just to go through photo's in albums.

In other sites I've designed (non-Dolphin), I normally use a Lightbox for image views, allowing the left/right display through the Lightbox, which never requires page refreshes. FB does this currently from memory.

This really needs to be fixed either by using a lightbox (preferred) or using Ajax to keep the main webpage active and only update the picture.

I'm currently checking the market to see if anyone has made a mod for light boxes.

The reason is because of comments.  If you want members to be able to comment on the next photo, it has to reload the page so it can load in all the proper bits.  I noticed that 7.3 adds a quick viewer of photos in the album; before that, I added a slideshow viewer of the album to my site.

OK, this makes sense. The way FB handle this is by adding the comments into the Lightbox on the right side.

Unfortunately the way it is now isn't acceptable in user reviews.

I checked the market and there isn't anything I can see which offers lightbox for Photo's, let alone with comments in the lightbox.

This may be worth the effort for a dev to take on?
