Ok what I want to do is insert a flash slide show like this one:

in the same spot that the pictures are displayed in the one above..........Obviously want to remove the first one and use the second one...........if possible.....

Do you want ALL of the site members to have this, or just the admin?

Im not sure how I could make it work for everyone if I could I would.  I have bought this program and i have it hosted somewhere else but it is over the top when it deals with photo's and video allowing both to be used together and organized yada yada....I hope this will work.....It would make the experience so much more enjoyable IT could be an app for everyone to enjoy if someone want to talk to me about that IT truly is the best on the market.  If you floowed the link you saw what I was talking about.......

I'm afraid putting the swf in a block by itself, would be a lot more complex than what I showed you.   When you embed it in a post like I did, that post is associated with the blog creator.  To put it in it's own block on the page, would require a new custom content block added to the page, and that's a LOT more complex.  It can be done... but not without a custom modification.

We will talk tomorrow about this it is interesting......every-time I try to post that slide show in anything it never works for me......I wonder what I am doing wrong.......If it works for one thing it should work for all?  I would think......It would resolve all my issues but nobody else.......

@Magnisoft - I know you like playing footsie with mydatery but this is not a "cute" thing, ok.  It came from his extremist70 yahoo account and contained nothing other than the malware link.  He wrote me with some kind of bs implying that he had been hacked and said that his entire "sent" folder was now missing. Pretty strange since some of the people who got it were other people he routinely attacks here.  I sent it to Boonex - you want it you can get it from them.  This is really seriously sick shit he is doing now and I would appreciate it if you wouldn't make light of it.

houston I posted your code and I am THRILLED beyond belief that it works but for some reason it is not working in I.E. 8  The program is over the top with what you can do it does pose a problem for the Iphone app as it is flash but the upload for Video is DONE DONE DONE and works perfect everytime.......Plz Houston advise me on the I.E. 8  If you don't have something nice to say please I am sure there is another way to do it......I just don't want to read profanity like that about the fact you lost your post.......PLS this is a sandbox that has rules.........

CS... I'll take part of the blame for this thread running amok.  Last night, after composing a post for about 30 minutes, this website glitched and my entire post was lost.... I was really PO'd and posted something I probably shouldn't have.  Don't be too hard on these guys... we were all just 'venting'.  That was me that had the meltdown...NOT Magnusoft.

I'll have a look at IE8 when I have some time.  What version of flash player do you use with IE8?

P.S.  If you use Dolphin long enough, and hang around these forums long enough, you'll understand how things get out of control sometimes.  You just gotta roll with the punches and concentrate on  the useful stuff.

I just had no idea what happened and i am sorry you lost your post.........I am sure it would piss you off if you wrote something for 30 minutes that had a great deal of thought in it........All I think about is how to get this done period.  I have lost stuff stumbled across stuff uploaded stuff that doesn't work it really is just part of what we all do isn't.  It seems like to me that it s more the everyday than the exception.  The stuff you found in two lines of code changed the entire package for me and that I appreciate your efforts.  I assume that goes with those posts.......Moving toward the completion of all this is a mission for me and I am completely focused on and adding that code was a HUGE step forward because it adds so much power to controlling VIDEO pictures, and Links to the right spot.  I do have an issue with I.E. 8 as it won't play the flash file it appears as a blank screen any thoughts on that?

I'll have to go to htmlpurifier.org and investigate this issue.  It looks like a bug with htmlpurifier.  Even with Safe Embed enabled, it's stripping the embed tags, and that's why it doesn't work in IE.

It works just fine in FF, Safari, Chrome, and Opera.  This is the kind of thing that makes me really hate Microsoft.

I am so pissed as yes it works for those browsers but 88% of the people who come to my site use Microsoft IE such a pain in the butt it is so frustrating when one thing works here but not others it has been that way from the start of COMPUTERS.......It is a hardware problem no its a software problem.......The fact that my iphone won't play FLASH drives me insane and he new ipad is not going to do it either.......I mean really why in the world can't they find a solution for that????  I could go in and on and on but the fact is it HAS to e able to work in IE or it is all for not.........88% of my users use that.........I mean there should be a place that these guys have to go to to pass anything they design and at this place is a GATEWAY of design that ALL people have to follow or you can't play.I mean really I have all my toys in this sand box and you can't play in this sandbox because I am who I am...... I agree that this would make a nice addition to the Groups and Events modules.  Since it's a commercial product, it will never come bundled with Dolphin, so someone would have to integrate it as an add-on.  That way, you could upload photos and videos, from within Dolphin.  It's not a trivial project though.

What I am working on as a quick solution, is a way to embed swf files hosted on your own server, and only your own server.  Allowing embedded flash from just anywhere is asking for trouble.  If it's hosted on your own server, at least you have control over content.  I have the basic htmlpurifier filter done for this... it might need a little polishing.  Then, it's just a matter of making a few changes to the html purifier plugin and recompiling the configuration schema.

My question for you is: Would there be any obstacles for you in hosting all the slide show content on your own server?   I'm not 100% clear on what your usage model for this is.

Did you see the VIDEO quality in the file you are using under fantastic video's VERY HIGH RES VERY VERY VERY COOL............The flash player of course changes the size but the quality is not lost hardly at all........

I host the "CONTENT" of the slideshow with that developer of the Slideshow software we are discussing

I have a www.thebutlerchain.com site which is where I host the slideshow flash files after the xml file is produced from the developer of the slideshows hosting site.

I then post that file which is what you are using that is the slide show player.........
