Hi all,
I have Dolphin 7.0.6 installed on Windows 7/Apache 2.2. I just activated the Video module. When I tried to upload a small mp4 file, it always gave me the error VIDEO UPLOAD FAILED error and there was no PHP error logged in php error log. I searched the forums, and for a moment I thoguht it was because of ffmpeg.exe bundled was not compatible with 64-bit Windows. So I downloaded a 64-bit version and gave it all privileges. Again no luck.
Can some shed some lght on the matter?
Thanks.

do you get video upload failed or will it just not process ? https://dolphin-techs.com - Skype: Dolphin Techs |
The file was not loaded at all. The error message was displayed temporarily right after the file was selected. |
Yeah same error i get as well video upload failed with windows server. tried everything under the sun to correct it. https://dolphin-techs.com - Skype: Dolphin Techs |
Have you succeeded in fixing it? |
no not yet. tried like 6 different ffmpeg.exe builds. nothing seems to work. tried server 2003 server 2008 windows 7 .....
i wrote a test php file that runs ffmpeg and videos get converted via the browser.
i did notice that nothing gets written to the database after uploading a file. so i dont know if its the way the code is written in dolphin that windows servers dont like for videos or what.

I'm brand new to Dolphin, but video whoas are what I've faced most, for 2 Weeks, before moving my hosting from GoDaddy to JoomByte. I had various video posting errors as I tried different scenarios and made adjustments. Have you checked your report that cron forwards to your cpanel email to see if it reports any sort of attempt to initiate? Did you configure your server or do you have a host who specializes in dolphin hosting? JoomByte for instance jumped right on my first video issue and realized that cron was configured pointing to the wrong partition. I had looked at cron report config a few times and didn't notice the problem. |
thanks underdog but we are talking windows servers here. linux servers are just fine 99% of the time. https://dolphin-techs.com - Skype: Dolphin Techs |
That's what I feared. While I'm fine with running production Dolphin on a linux server, it is convenient to run development in Windows. I just hope this issue is fixed soon. |
