VPS and DirectAdmin

I am thinking of upgrading from a reseller account to VPS. at present I use CPanelx.

Anyone know anything about DirectAdmin as a CPanel alternative? whilst I can afford the VPS I cannot afford the additional US$15 (pm) for CPanel.

DA is fine for hosting a dolphin site.
