I don't find flashcoms for Dolphin 7 on google.

My actual chat is not working, so I don't know if it supports webcam or not:

Dolphin 7 Chatroom and Video Chat does support the use of a webcam, however you need RMS for it to function. RMS is NOT needed for basic functions of the chatroom or simple messenger to work (text only mode). I would suggest finding out why your Chat is not working before going any further.

Can you provide us a little more information as "what" is happening when you go to your chatroom? Judging by your web URL, Im pretty sure this is an adult site so I cannot visit it from work :)

Yes it's a dating site, but if you visit it you will not find anything strange because it's still empty.

I installed "Black Flash Apps Skins For Dolphin 7" from "mastertheme.com" and actually I just see a forever-loading wheel in the chat.

I wrote a message to them but they are not giving me support about this problem.

So I'm stuck. I'm on linux so maybe it's just a firefox-flash problem, if someone give a look to that link and gives me some feedback I could  thank a lot.

Hello

here is your problem - http://www.girlsexcommunity.com/flash/XML.php?action=getSettingValue&key=status&widget=chat&file=main

I recommend you to remove several commands from "flash/modules/global/inc/db.inc.php" file. Find this code and comment it:

mysql_query("SET @@local.connect_timeout=9000;");

Let me know through PM if this won't help

Now it works, thank you.

Unfortunately I don't see any webcam option.

Is it a webcam-enabled chat? how can I enable it?

I understood it's a feature that needs RMS to be installed.

I opened another topic here because I have debian and not redhat, so the installation scripts can't work for me.

There is another way to go i dont run this on my dolphin site but i do have it on one of my other sites and it is great and the users love it.

Take a look at www.gchats.com at there visichat script it has many options and will fully intergrate with dolphin only catch to it is you must have a dedicated or vps server. Good points to it is once you buy it its yours and you can buy the source codes when you buy. It runs off of red5 so there is not bandwith or monthly fees to pay each month like some chats now days.

I find the chat installed with D7 more than capable. Like Zarcon stated, enabling the video features will require RMS. There are several servers out there that have started providing RMS services. I would check with Terabyte Hosting as one such provider. It's very inexpensive. I would certainly try and make use of Dolphins setup before wasting money trying to get some outside script to work.

One thing I just figured out tonight. make sure your members know they will need at least VS 10 of the flash player to make it all work nice. I had VS 9.XX on my Vista machine with IE8 and the block wouldn;t even open.

Funny, at one point, we had to downgrade to Flash 9, or else we couldn't change any Ray settings.

I love how things work.

Thats funny you should say that. I too had to have my old TowTalk members downgrade to 9 so the chat text would appear without hitting the enter key in my old chatterbox. LOL. Now I have to get them to upgrade so the new site works for them.

If it ain't one thing ...

what the hell does the file /flash/XML.php actually do and why does it hog CPU resources

rayz what are the several commands, and why would they need to be removed exactly?

and on that note and not hijacking the thread here, but what exactly does this file /flash/XML.php do?

i have a serious problem with this file as have others with this file being a resource hog. what exactly is this file doing, and why would it use 30%+ of CPU when there is no activity on a specific domain?

it was not a one-off occurrence, i watched one account for 6 hours and the CPU was hammered, the site itself was dormant. i have screen shots if you are interested.

Windows 7 streaming media server with an embeded silverlight player works well for live hd content.  it polls the users internet connection every 30 seconds and adjusts the video bandwidth on the fly as needed....

Theres something for the boonex team to think about.
