The answer is yes; for the built in video chats, you need to have RMS installed or use a third party RMS service. Geeks, making the world a better place |

OK got him to install it, $2 is so cheap.... I hope he has other products for sale So, how to members use the Video Chat? Did you connect Dolphin to the server? You can setup the RMS connection from the Admin Panel > Modules > Flash Apps > Settings. Enter the IP address of the server, and the RMS Port and RMS HTTP Port numbers. Unless they were changed for some reason, the defaults of 1935 and 5080 should work. Then tick the use RMS checkbox and save. You can then broadcast video from the main chat module, as well as the messenger. BoonEx Certified Host: Zarconia.net - Fully Supported Shared and Dedicated for Dolphin |
I do have it hooked up, where do I click on something to video chat with someone? |
I do have it hooked up, where do I click on something to video chat with someone? For the chat, there's a section under the room/user list to turn on your camera and microphone to broadcast. You can use the full messenger for one-on-one chats, either from the simple messenger window (click the video chat link at the top of the window) or from the actions block on the user's profile.
