Video doesnt play till downloaded?

Hi - I have searched the forums and see that this has been discussed before.

Apparently when the video is re-encoded the file info is placed at the end of the file and therefore Dolphin cannot start playing it until the video is completely downloaded. This thread was particularly interesting http://www.boonex.com/unity/forums/?action=goto&topic_id=A-gift-to-all-that-have-helped-me- but it does not provide a solution as far as I can tell.

It seems ridiculous to me - how could anyone allow this much disfunctionality in the Video Player. It makes it totally useless no?

It doesnt even tell the viewer that they have to wait. Sheesh. It could be ten minutes before the vid starts playing. What are they meant to do in the mean time?

Please someone tell me there is a mod, or that 7.03 will not have this problem, or that there is some other solution to this problem.

The cheap way out of this is to turn off H264 Encoding under modules - flash - video - settings.   Then all new video uploaded from that point will load just after a few seconds.
