Video loading but not showing

Hi all, I have read for hours in the search on this and still can't figure it out. I have got the videos to load and when done it says it was loaded successfully but nothing shows. I've even replaced the cron as instructed in the sticky in the D7 forum. I've waited since I read somewhere that it takes a while but nothing is showing in my video folder.

The only thing I can think of is the cache. I'm kind of a newbie so I was wondering, do I delete everything out of the cache folders? Is it suposed to be empty when done? I used the clean cache in the admin but when I checked the folders I don't think it did anything. I also read that this has been a problem as well.

Well after hours of reading and then finally getting an email from someone that gave me a link to a blog that I could not find in the search I finally got video's to load but only the embeded ones work. Cant seem to get flash or regular to work. They say they are a successful upload but they never show up. When I go to my video folder and click the arrow for the next video it says it is in proccess or something like that but never shows. The file that I am loading is an mpeg 4 that is 734KB. Is that to big of a file or something? Where can I edit the size of the videos that I can upload?

Well your file hasn't even crossed the 1 Mb mark. By default, php allows uploads till 2MB. You can insert a phpinfo page and check for your site.

And I don't think you can set a limit on videos in Dolphin. Let me know if you really can.

And for that video issue, check the following :

1. Permission of ffmpeg.exe should be 755

2. Permission of the flash/module/video/file directory should be 755

3. Remember that videos get converted only after the cron is run. Generally on fast enough server, 2 MB video file gets converted within 5-7 minutes.

Who is your host?

I was having MEGA problems with the video using cirtex, here is how I got it to work.

DELETE the ffmpeg that comes with dolphin, then create a symbolic like from /usr/bin/ffmpeg to the directory where dolphin places its ffmpeg. Since you most likely wont have access to /usr/bin contact your host provider and have them place the link for you. After three days pulling hair out and inventing new swear words, I fingered it out. Now my videos work fantabulously.

Hey thanks for the repies. I sort of have this working but not sure it it is the videos or the script stopping downloads. I am able to upload fash and regular just fine now. Also I can upoload embeded but sometimes it doesn't work with some videoes even though the time limit is way under the max. Haven't used Youtube a whole lot so don't know if this is normal or not due to security for some vids or something.

Here is the cron I am using. /usr/bin/php -c /home/xxxxxx/public_html/php.ini -q /home/xxxxxxx/public_html/periodic/cron.php

set at 5 min

Hey scott, since the information is pulled directly from youtube (title, tags, description, etc. ) sometimes the description may contain too many characters or HTML codes that is does not like. There will be no error if that is the case, when you click submit, nothing happens. You can try removing some of the description or try writing one of your own to see if that fixes your problem.
