Video uploads not working.

We've been fighting for 2 days now trying to get videos to play. They upload just fine, but when you hit play, nothing, black screen, no sound. Here is the output we get from Cron:

I know this issue like the back of my hand. Did you set permissions for the folders of your Flash applications to 777? If so, revert them to 755.

Are all your files also set to 644 (except for ffmpeg)?

now from that output, it would appear to me that your videos are processing. when they load are they saying 0:00 and when you look in the directory where they are stored at are they there, i posted this same thing earlier but will try it again from memory;

if you upload doesnt matter the name, its going to take the file count that has been pushed on the upload, in this case, it was video 1

so going to

/flash/modules/video/files

you should see

1.flv

1.jpg

1.mp4

1.mpg

1_small.jpg

can you verify those files are being created as part of the conversion?

That's the specific issue we had, and setting it to 755 fixed the loading issues. Is it working for you, now?

hi, me too i have the " files" folder setting to 777, and if i change to 755, when i upload one video i get one message error that tell me was not able to move the video to the forlder...

If i keep it to 777 the upload process work well, but inside at the folder i can see this file :

-  18.small.jpg

-  18.jp

-  18  without extension, if i manually put the .flv, the video work fine....
