Videos not processing

Upload videos and they disappear. I found them under the 'not processed' tab. When you click on the video, you get the "error, file not found' message.

I had that same problem too. What I did is went into the admin area and cleared the cache. Also I could see the video in the Modules>Videos section. I put a check mark in the video and clicked "activate". The video then displayed in the videos sections. I tried another video after that and it worked with no problems. So here are some things to check:

1) Try clearing your cache

2) Make sure your cron job is setup properly

3) Auto-Activation is checked in the Settings area.

Hope this helps.

Well if it is there I can not locate it.  I have found the videos and whatnot but everything I've tried don't work.  No problem with music being uploaded and working.  Dang

Check your mail for cron error... This is the end of my mail: Could not write header for output file #0 (incorrect codec parameters ?) it's a conversion problem.. Open a ticket for this please!!!!!

I am assuming you are using Dolphin 7 Beta 7 correct?

Check this to see the settings for videos:

You can see where to activate here:

So I would not consider this a bug, possibly a configuration error of some sort. My videos are working fine.

there does seem to be an issue here, to somewhat resolve it I uploaded the beta six get file.php to both music and video then had to make sure to select a categorie in music to make it work. finally video and music work, no audio on video though. still have to go into video and activate even with auto aprove and activation turned on... one step closer I guess.

I am getting the error "Video upload failed (video error)"  when I try and upload a video.

The message comes up in a light font and disappears quickly. Why not have the error in a Bold font and have it stay on

the screen

I am testing on a Windows machine running Windows XP pro with Apache 2.2 and Php 5.2.8 with Beta 7b7and Firefox 3.5

I have tried all the solutions above including replacing the functions php from 7b6

I tried with regular and flash modes with a 19MB .avi file

Any suggestions would be appreciated especially from Windows users who have it working

Thanks in advance

I contacted support and this is what they said

Dear Victor.

The path to php executable is not correct in your crons.
You need to contact your hosting provider and find out the actual path to php executable.

BoonEx tell this?

Quote · 13 Oct 2009

ok! Boonex don't give support then this is my complete fix to this problem!

Instructions:

1) open file \flash\modules\video\inc\functions.inc.php of d7b7

2) locate this text:

function getConverterTmpl($sInputFile, $sSize, $bSound = true, $bRecorded = false)
{
global $sModule;
global $sFfmpegPath;

$sSound = $bRecorded ? " -ar 44100 " : " -acodec copy ";
if(!$bSound) $sSound = " -an ";
$sTmpl = $sFfmpegPath . " -y -i " . $sInputFile . " -r " . getVideoFps() . " -s " . getVideoSize($sSize) . $sSound;
if(getSettingValue($sModule, "sameQuality") == TRUE_VAL) $sTmpl .= "-sameq ";
return $sTmpl;
}

3) Change the string $sSound = $bRecorded ? " -ar 44100 " : " -acodec copy "; in $sSound = $bRecorded ? " -ar 44100 " : " -acodec libmp3lame -ar 44100 ";

4) save and upload!!!

I've tryed it and all work....please try it and post your feedback!

The problem was the audio codec...the original audio codec can't be used in flv.

Have a nice day!!

And Please Boonex add this to trac..it's time....

Or, can you show ?

Artualite

There are 2 steps to the video process. The first step it uploads to the directory flash/modules/videos/files

The filename is 1_xxx or something like that.

Like Luca says there is a problem with functions.inc.php but it is a problem only of the sound.

So if it uploads the first step is successful. Replace the functions.inc.php with the one from 7b6 and that solves the sound problem or put in Luca's code fix.

The second step is the running of the cron job. I have found that changing the */5 time field in bx_videos in the db under sys_cron_jobs to * * * * * runs the conversion anytime the cron job is run. If you leave it at */5 there is sometimes a problem if the cron job is not started at a minute time of a multiple of 5.

If you have changed that you can force the cron job to run by running the URL yoursite/periodic/cron.php

You might have to remove the .htaccess file from the periodic folder to get it to run.

If it runs it takes a while like a few minutes for a 20MB file to convert.

After it has run you can then see the video and play it.

Once you know that things are working then play around with the times again and see if it works for */5

Ok, ok, I understand

But can you sent me the file :  functions.inc.php of Beta 6 ?

The B6 Package can't be download now !

Thanks per advance !

BOONEX THE VIDEOS ARE NOT ENCODING AND NEED A TICKET, THIS IS TOO SERIOUS TO HAVE A "NOT A BUG ATTITUDE".

This is the error I'm pulling from the error logs anytime someone tries to post a video, record a comment, or anything that requires some sort of encoding.  What good is the software if there can be no video, or if the video uploads there is no sound.  This is a critical issue and one of the main selling points of this software.  Otherwise we have nothing but an over inflated java chat script that allows forum usage.

I wonder where the issue is located.  I saw in trunk how they changed teh code the way luca_it suggested  (http://www.boonex.com/trac/dolphin/changeset/12916/trunk/flash/modules/video/inc/functions.inc.php)

but the problem still persist.

Could there be a problem in the RMSb7 put out that isn't coded or changed correctly to work with beta 7?  My beta 6 worked and now it doesn't.

Related question - what happened to the video recorder?  I'm just getting started with the video functions, and see we can upload videos, but couldn't we also record them in D6?  It has been a long day, so this might be something I am looking right at.

Solution to fix the problem.

It appears that the conversion is not the problem, instead the files' location is not being properly recorded.  Boonex added a new if statement for the album information that appears to NOT WORK.  There is a database query error in the script you wrote and I will provide you with the complete debug info in another post so you can fix the problem.

For everyone else with the "File not found" error you need to do the following:

open flash/video/inc/classes/BxDolCronVideo.php

1.  comment out the new BxDolAlbum.php require like this:

// require_once(BX_DIRECTORY_PATH_CLASSES . 'BxDolAlbums.php');

2.  Comment out the new IF statement included in this file so it will not call the Albums.php as that contains a code error causing this problem.  Find this section at line 83

if (getSettingValue($sModule, "autoApprove") == true) {
$oAlbum = new BxDolAlbums($sType);
$oAlbum->updateObjCounterById($aFile['ID']);
if (getParam($oAlbum->sAlbumCoverParam) == 'on')
$oAlbum->updateLastObjById($aFile['ID']);
}

replace it with

/*
//album counter & cover update
if (getSettingValue($sModule, "autoApprove") == true) {
$oAlbum = new BxDolAlbums($sType);
$oAlbum->updateObjCounterById($aFile['ID']);
if (getParam($oAlbum->sAlbumCoverParam) == 'on')
$oAlbum->updateLastObjById($aFile['ID']);
}
*/

This will comment out the code.  now you upload the file and clear your cache.  All new videos uploaded should work fine with sound.
