Visitor counter-analytics

Hello all,

I would like to add a visitors counter in members profiles. I was surfing internet looking for a hot counter and I had find one that is possible to add into opensocial app in admin area. This is: http://www.replyat.com/ourhitcounterD.xml

Is the only one xml extension that I was able to add into opensocial.

But I do not really like how it looks, is very big and a lot of text.

I have also find one that really like me a lot, it show a world map: http://whos.amung.us/maps/

I was trying to insert it in profiles. I had add a new block>insert the code of the map... but statistics are not correct. I see in all profiles the same statistics.

Do you know an app/mod .. something like this that could be used for show statics in profiles and works well??

Thanks in advance.

I use stat-counter.com - I have heard people here mention ones they thought were better, but it sounds like you are mostly interested in the appearance of the counter itself?

Hi,

Probably you will need to use 'Google Analytics' to accomplish this task. You will have to ask each user

for their google analytics id and then have a box in their profile that shows their stats.

A good start would be to start looking at the Google Analytics API - http://code.google.com/apis/analytics/docs/

I can develop a mod but it will take some time and right now I am pretty busy with few other things :(

Thanks

Let me withdraw my advice.  To display on the member profile, I don't think Stat-counter or Google Analytics is what you want- your members wouldn't give you that information and it would be logistically impossible to get it.   I think that you want a little snippet of code - Javascript?  that displays a counter - but would need to call the member ID - and where it would be placed I have no clue.  Sorry, above my pay grade.

thanks for replays.

I was thinking about google analytics, but I think but I am of those who thinks that the less users have to do, the better. The easier it is everything we like. I do not think many of them created an account with analytics and then paste your code.

My site is designed to provide a pers>I´m going to try update some of statistics in Myphp admin. But would appreciate any recommendati>Thanks in advance.
