That's nothing!

I just got Zend Studio and built the dolphin directory and found some nuggets of info.  There are approximately 416 Todo comments buried in different places, and a good 100 are urgent FIXME! lol.

Cripes! I have 52 errors and I was pissed.

I know the answer to this regarding any other website, but is it worth attempting a fix? Like with HTML Tidy or something?

I got an idea.  Let's all bump a two year old thread!

might as well bump it, since it was ignored 2 years ago, i am sure its  just as easily ignored now.

Gee Thanks.

Gotta love how sarcasm trumps a useful answer. Sucks, seems to be a lot of that going around on these otherwise helpful forums.

Eh,...to be expected I guess. Regardless of how old the thread is, if the issues warrants a reply why not, I dunno, give it a stab and try n answer it? If you take the time out to goof on the question or the date, you might as well. You could hurl insults, sarcasm, mama jokes at me all day, I don't care, as long as they all include something useful as well.

To each his own I guess. Carry on.

Because a lot of the 2 year old threads are dealing with problems that were fixed several upgrades ago.

I do not really understand what people s obsession is with their site validating anyway. It's not possible to get a site 100% error free and maintain compatibility for a wide range of browsers.

Take one of the simplest pages in the world. http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/

3 errors, 1 warning.

But pick any well know site.

microsoft.com 190 errors, 135 warnings.
adobe.com 43 errors, 15 warnings.
facebook.com 40 errors
redhat.com 50 errors, 20 warnings
google.com 34 errors, 3 warnings.
youtube.com 79 errors, 2 warnings.
yahoo.com 199 errors, 8 warnings.

And i could go on forever, but my point is, it's not going to happen, so why try.

Well, that was my original question...

Cripes! I have 52 errors and I was pissed.

I know the answer to this regarding any other website, but is it worth attempting a fix? Like with HTML Tidy or something?

Pissed, yeah. Pissed the Devils lost. Pissed Miami won. Suicidal over it? Losing sleep? No,..not really. With that many errors, and looking thru what it flagged it didn't seem to be worth the time...but since I haven't used Dolphin that much I figured I'd ask.

So much for that plan. I didn't even look at the date of the original post. Didn't care much either, just glad someone had worse issues than I did.

I know its kooky of me to expect a little more especially from people who are otherwise helpful all over this forum. I really don't have time for nerd rage. If you see one of my questions and feel the need to take a jab, knock yourself out - if its funny or you're pointing out something stupid obvious that I over looked, like posting here in the first place - thats fine. I can laugh at myself and take very little serious. Eh, maybe thats what Houstonlively was doing. Don't know. Seemed sarcastic. How is that useful? Go kick your cat, drink a cream soda, do some friggin thing if you need to rage on, but lets not stoop to shitta remarks. I've done my fair share of forum troubleshooting, help desk, tech support. If you start getting annoyed by the questions asked its time to walk away, seriously.

No harm no foul in my book. Question answered. Took a while to get there, but at least it was answered.

Sorta.

Thanks

Some of the people here do get off on it; you should toughen your shell around here and ignore it.

Besides, that's why we have the handy "Bury" right there to get rid of the really, um - helpful, reply's.

I really don't have time for nerd rage.
