Warning! Cannot evaluate Menu Cache file

I knew that having a working beta for 30 minutes was too much to ask.   In removing items from the navigation menu (polls and sounds) I got an error "Warning - cannot evaluate Menu cache file" in a pop-up box.  Now I seem to have trashed my install, as that error is on the front page, and any other page I call up (http://community.caltrade.com)   Grrrrrrr.   Serious error, obviously.,  What should I do now?  :-(

UPDATE: Forgot to mention - I had disabled all the cache options to get the page builder to work so turned them one by one as a test - it had no effect - the error is still there.  Have I permanently damaged my setup?

Try deleting all the files from the /cache directory  ...... Except for the .htaccess file.  Then go to the menu builder and move any block.

Worked like a charm Houston - thank you.   Of course, it is just going to happen again when I move another block but we're getting there.

Backups are always a good idea LightWolf- but in this case there was really no data there- except for one test record.   I did a backup anyway to establish a baseline but I'm not sure restoring from that would have solved anything.

I'm off to go break my system again - thanks for your help guys.
