Web Stress Test

I stressed my vps on one of website I have with 2 clients with 10 threads each.

The server became stressed and rose as high as 11.0 load average in TOP. I did a web recording test on a video comment. My video froze in the middle of the video.

Now I'm concerned if my dolphin site will be able to handle somewhat heavy traffic.

Should I be concerned with that or shall I wait until upgrades come out that will better handle it?

I told my host about this. This is their response below.

What do you think? Do you think I should switch to what the host suggested? Any advice that I should have my host do?

-----

how did you stress it?

If you wish, we can switch your PHP to run as DSO instead as CGI like it is now, that way PHP is all handled by Apache, and would be abit less resource intensive.

Your limitations is just the memory, and I see you did hit your limits, but not that far off:

Version: 2.5
uid resource held maxheld barrier limit failcnt
8589: kmemsize 11225740 20253113 23244800 23244800 0
lockedpages 0 0 4096 4096 0
privvmpages 166437 270182 262144 262144 153

But everything else seems fine here, if you really want to handle high traffic, Nginx/PHP-FPM combinations is possible if you want.
