Website Setup Idiot
 I've purchased the liscence for Dolphin....and hosting on Network Solutions....
I've uploaded the files and folders into my site, but am having problems understanding how to set the installation permissions....
CAN ANYONE HELP ME TO DO THIS? |
1. Locate & download WinSCP
2. Install it on your computer
3. Log into your server via the WinSCP Program
4. Go to the folder/file that is referenced on the install screen inside of WinSCP
5. Right Click on the folder or file (if you hold down the ctrl key you can choose a bunch of folders at once, makes it quicker)
6. Select Properties
7. Change folders to 777 Change files to 666 (That makes them writeable/executable. You will need to change the file ffmpeg.exe to 777)
8. Click Ok
9. Move on to the next one, you have just changed the file permissions.
**Yeah, I could of told him about SSH, but I'm not about to teach that in here to a newbie guys... Let him learn this first and then move on to the next level when he gets a little time under his belt. |
