What happens after I buy the licence to remove my boonex links

How do the links get removed? does it affect my site in anyway?

They magically disappear... and no, it doesn't affect your site. Chat room branding also disappears.

  1. remove the current license from Administration > Settings > Advanced Settings > Variables
  2. logout of the administration panel
  3. login to the administration panel
  4. enter new license when asked

If you're still having problems, try emptying the cache/ (except for the .htaccess file) and cache_public/ directories. You should also make sure allow_url_fopen is enabled for PHP.

There is a bit of a method that you must follow in order to get the license to take affect:

After you have purchased your ads-free license you will need to take the following steps:

1. login to admin --> settings --> advanced settings --> variables remove the license number that is there now (presumably the free license number)

2. scroll down and click save

3. click on the admin home icon on the top menu of the admin navigation

4. on the clear cache block clear all and for giggles touch each option for clearing the cache

5. logout of admin completely

6. if you have cPanel, login to cPanel navigate to file manager then to public_html then to path where dolphin files reside, most are in public_html unless you have your dolphin install in a subdirectory, open the cache directory. from the navigation tool bar, click on the 'select all' option. hold down ctrl and click on the .htaccess file. hit the red Delete X on the navigation. you want to remove everything from this directory except for the .htaccess file. go up a level on your directory tree, open the cache_public directory, use the select all tool from the tool menu, click the red Delete X on the navigation.

7. clear your browsers cache and cookies may even close the browser altogether, or more drastically, reboot your machine.

8. open a browser (firefox preferred) go to http://yourdomain.com/administration and login with your admin credentials

9. at this time, you will be prompted for your dolphin license, enter the license in the text block, and continue.

this should in most all cases be more than enough to get your new license to take affect on your site.
