Where i my CSR SSL code in Ubuntu?

I don't know if this was so good idea? I sign up for an SSL for 1 year but it's so difficult to get it to work.

In my activation of my domain and CSR code it say like this after i tried.

CSR code content. Generate CSR Code here →

Invalid CSR entry. Please try again.

It doesn't matter what code im trying with its the same so where is my CSR code and how does it look like this string.

I have already done the first steps from this link.

https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-create-a-ssl-certificate-on-apache-for-ubuntu-14-04

And the last step to go to my https://ip_number is working. But where is my CSR and how to activate it. When i trying to activate it i get error. So how does the key look like?

Please someone can help here?

You need to generate a CSR.

Namecheap has all the instructions.  Link here https://www.namecheap.com/support/knowledgebase/article.aspx/467/67/how-do-i-generate-a-csr-code

You don't have a control panel, so go to the second link on that page. Here. https://www.namecheap.com/support/knowledgebase/article.aspx/9446/0/apache-opensslmodsslnginx

That provides instructions on how to generate the CSR key.

Namecheap also provides instructions on how to install the certificate after as well. Those instructions are here. https://www.namecheap.com/support/knowledgebase/article.aspx/9423/0/apache-opensslmodssl

I also have namecheap as well. Recently moved all my domains there from godaddy.

I will be getting my own cert in a week or two, so i will be doing it myself later.

Ok! Thanks. deano. I found the SCR now and it was in my group catalog for my name on the server. And the CSR code is working.

SOLVED!!!

But so much work to get this to work. I thought it was just to push a button to activate on namecheap. So many steps.

That really depends on your hosting panel. I run a web hosting company and it is that easy to get yourself a free SSL cert, enter the domain you want, click submit, it applies your cert in under five seconds. Literally nothing to know your end.
