Why is this boonex allowed Un-reliable products on the MARKET ???

Hello everyone, I have been with boonex since 6.1.4 until now and spend tons of money.

I love boonex dolphin but I HATE DEVELOPERS the ONE that do not support thier products.

It is Boonex to blame and this will bring boonex donw to the ground.

If boonex do not allow such JUNKS in its market.

Members will not be ripping OFF by "Crooks called them self developer".

modzzz --- I have never get your MODS to work since I bought them from you. I have bought more than 20 mods from you.

My credits and Point & gift never work. You never want to help me.

Can I have refund for the credits MOD and please remove the mods that do not work from the market.

Nothing can be done about problems that aren't reported. I don't know why people can't grasp this concept.

Have you tried contacting modzzz for support? I'm not seeing anyone else complaining about his products. I also don't know if this is supposed to be a dispute.

Yes I contact him many times before, he said he will take a look and may charge, I said I willing to pay.

I gave up for a while to do other things.

This week I contact HIM twice  ---- no reply what so ever.

I bought more than $700.00 dollars with his mods.

I said. It is a SAD world we live in - so is the guy who sell the live join mod - just let his clinet hang like BAT

BAD business - these people will go no where

weednav, I have not forgotten about you. I have been extremely busy this week. I was to install those last two mode on myplace and have not yet. Is this the one in question here on this topic?

The two modules from him do require core changes which we know cause problems when doing future upgrades. I may have some time to do the final changes to myplace tonight or tomorrow if you have not had someone do it.

Since December 2010, you have been purchasing my products and there are 358 back and forth messages between us so do not lie about not receiving support from me. Also, I have never told you that I will charge you to fix problems with my mods. Fixes are always released as free patches. Do not unnecessarily try to tarnish a developer's reputation by making false claims in your dispute.

I see the messages you sent on the 9th and 10th regarding Credits and Points mods not working. However, you have not stated what exactly is the issue with them. Please PM me and state clearly the problems you are having with the mods (do not just say "they are not working") and I will schedule time on the weekend to look at them. I am currently extremely busy checking and updating products for Dolphin 7.0.7 compatibility and I am posting product updates in the support forums almost daily so I am not pulling any disappearing act on anyone.

yes it is true of what you said "Since December 2010, you have been purchasing my products and there are 358 back and forth messages between us so do not lie about not receiving support from me" --- yes because I bought close to 20 mods and all these communication are during install and purchase. But after they do not work. Explain to me why I have to have Antovl in the case and he is himself solved my issues. Some I have to pay for and some are free because he felt sorry for me.

I do not know what is going on but when I disable your credits & point/gift my problems when away.

I do not know about all other mods which i bought from you as they are fuunction or not. so far i only have issues with credits - point/gifts

I do not felt bad or bad mouth you I just say what I have to say.

Is it just me or did his complaint turn into an ad at the end?

i have dealt with modzzz on several if not all of his products. i can tell you that he has always went above and beyond his call of duty to get his modules working. case in point here, is that if you only had his modules installed, then most likely you would see no conflict. when you over-mod a site, you create your own issues, and the expectance that any single developer should step in and help you sort all of your problems is ludicrous. if you have purchased modules since 2010, and this points module is the only one that you have faced issues with, then what the lament about all of his modules and him not providing any support? have you searched the forums here where he has support threads for all of his products?

i can see you are frustrated, and that is understandable, though can we get a report on the other 19 modules you have purchased that are working?

modzzz is in the top 5 list of trustworthy and dependable developers who provide products for this application.

can you get a report from AntonL as to exactly what it was that he needed to fix to get the modules purchased from modzzz to work?

as stated, if you can bulletize the steps you are taking that can assist in replicating the situation, it can be more adequately addressed. a decent list, and some screen shots can do wonders.

I have been dealing with Modzzz for a number of years and I have quite a few of his modules. I have always found his mods to be first class and reliable.

He has always responded in a timely fashion which is fantastic especially as I live in a different timezone. I will go so far as to say, he is number one for his mods and especially his support, very positive and to the point.

My advice, explain your problem accurately and listen to his advice.

I have purchased more than 30 of Modzzz modules and I have had more than my share of issues; however, I can honestly say that whatever issues I have had he has always responded to the issues. Many of these issues turned out to be related to Dolphin and not his modules!

I too, at times have sent him not so nice emails about not responding to my issues in the time frame that I would have liked him to. And then I began to realize that I am not the only one here buying his mods; there are thousands of websites out there that are Dolphin based, and there are only a handful of really good mods in the Market, which means I am sure that good developers like Modzzz are very busy, and have many other issues to deal with other than my own.

I back his mods and his services 100%!

The next thing that you need to think of is whether any updates have been done to your dolphin based site since the installation of the mod in question.

Next thing to think about is the fact that any mods installed after the installation of the mod in question might be causing the issue at hand.

Whatever the case, I am positive that your issue will be resolved by Modzzz, just remember that your problem may not be as urgent as one of his other clients, and that he could be servicing hundreds of clients. You also need to remember that people, even developers have families, and at times may take vacations and what not.

Patience is a virtue :-)

I think almost every developer on here to some extent (and this is not a dig at anyone or ment to be disrespectful) is guilty of releasing modules with either bugs or very obvious functionality flaws.  Of the mods i have on my site MOST have had to have custom work done to cover basic functionality issues where the obvious has been missed or overlooked in the rush to get the mod to market.

Fair enough, some custom work is to make the mod fit our target market and to pretty it up, but much of it isnt. I have many mods that are unuseable ($800 worth to be exact) that I have had to pull from my site and take a loss on. On the plus side I think customm work is always good value for money on here. This is part of the prosess I think. which is a shame...... but why does this happen???

It is all to do with market forces. Dolphin is an incredible product. If I had built my site with SocialGO it would have been rubbish and would not stand a chance in hell of making a profit. But there are some good social engines out there. The developers on here release products quickly - they often have flaws, have not been thought out correctly or have bugs, or in the worst case (and I have seen this) do not work at all. Beta testing of mods in amlost non existent and is not controlled. The quicker a developer can get a mod onto the market, the more money he is going to make - simple! Then they begin the next one, so customer service for the last mod suffers!      I do understand this mentality in a money orientated and competetive market.

The real problem lies with boonex. They should controll the market, but if they impose restrictions such as auditing and beta test certification then the developers will run from dolphin and go ellse where. Dolphin without the developers would be like a car without fuel. It will stall and fall behind its competition. This is somthing I think Boonex knows this and it is why Boonexis  reluctant to impose restrictions on developers. It is the mods that give dolphin its flexibility, and it is this flexibility that makes dolphin the best option in a highly competetive market.

Boonex  minus developers = faliure

Developers minus customers = poor developers.

Pherhaps the way forward is for developers to come to the custopmers and ask us what kind of mods we would like to see in the market and how we would like them to function, and what functions we would like to see included. I would be glad to work with any developer on here to cousult on what may be missing, what could be added and what could be done differently on any mod they are building.....

I have a whole bunch of ideas for great mods for developers to work on with good solid foundations and good functionality. I have even begun to get together with other site owners and begin to develop joint ideas into design briefs for mods so that we can collectively hire a developer to custom make them for us. But it is a shame we have to do it this way as the mod will be for those that have contributed and will never appear on the market.

So, developers.... please... if you have an idea for a mod... ask us, the user, what we think, how it might work, what we need... then build it and test it with us....

It time to work together!
