Willing to Pay --- PHP coding & login functions!

Hi everyone,

.

I need someone who really knows php/login functions to lend me a hand because I'm bitterly disappointed with my 99.00 USD purchase of dolphin. Based on all of the descriptions & features, I thought that I was buying into a real community, and not just a fancy empty homepage shell with the ability for other members to create their own homepage shell. I mean, face it, aside from the photo gallery dolphin "bare bones" contains nothing but text oriented baloney. I thought that many of the RAY features were enhancements to already existing features. But without ray you have .... well, sorry, but umh, the word CRAP comes to mind. No shoutbox, no video gallery, no music, no forum, no profile customizer, etc. In other words, really just an empty shell. Wow, 100.00 bucks for that ...

Online photo galleries are a dime a dozen, and even fully functional video portals range from open source to dirt cheap. Boonex should check out sourceforge, maybe they'd realize that the fees for their video functions are nothing less than astronomical (in this day and age).

.

Anyway, we have our very own, FREE and public video portal. It's 100% free but membership registration is required. We also own our own musical greeting card system with over 400 large greeting cards. Same thing there, it's free but registration is required. We have our own online forum, also free, and people can even post anonymously. Yup, got a gaming portal too, no membership required there either. We have TONS of freebie stuff, way too much to mention here.

.

What I'm looking for is this:

After a new member signs up with dolphin, I want the login, email, and password information simultaneously distributed or logged to the video portal and the greeting cards. So that once a member logs in to dolphin, he or she can automatically use the greeting cards and video portal too ... without having to login or sign up in those portals again. I know that this is not too difficult to accomplish but it goes beyond my skills. There's a programmer that we use on a regular basis, but he's tied up for the next 6 weeks. I'm hoping to have this done in the next 10 to 14 days though. Money is definitely an issue !!! Everything that we're offering is free, we're not making any money ... just spending it, and our resources are running low. We do not need to have dolphin customized visually! I'll take care of that stuff, it's just the coding that we need to have working and it doesn't even have to work with the signup functions of the greeting cards or the video portal. Just the login functions need to jive on all three, based on the signup info. from dolphin. (meaning that people could still sign up for just the greeting cards or just the video portal, without automatically becoming a member of the dolphin community). We're a bit flexible though and open to suggestions.

If the purpose of your site is to make money and you are complaining about paying $99 for a software package to run it then you are being rediculous. Go to scriptlance and post a project for a site built to your specifications and see how many thousands of dollars it would cost.

Umh, did you read the part about everything being FREE for everyone?

I didn't ask for anyone to design me anything mind-boggling special or highly customized.

Is there something CONSTRUCTIVE in your reply?

People have a right to their opinion, and that's my opinion of what I received for my 99.00 USD.

You can also go to sourcforge, they offer scripting services there too from all around the world, complete with references by the freelancers, etc. and in some cases for as little as only 5.00 or 10.00 USD per hour.

Oh yeah, I can smell what you're cooking, but then again ... there's Microsoft Office and there's OpenOffice ... one for a boat load of money and the other one 100% for free, whereby I use both and can honestly say that I get more out of OpenOffice. Matter of fact, before the year is over I'll probably switch over to OO altogether.

.

I didn't write my post in order to get a bunch of putdowns for my opinion and I'd really appreciate it if the people who respond are people at whom this post was directed ... individuals with coding skills to help me out with what I'm trying to get accomplished. Thanks a lot for understanding, and for letting "the right people" respond to my query so that this doesn't end up turning into a useless monolithic diatribe which won't help me at all.

Why didn't you start with the free script until you found that it is what you need?  This part of the forum is for discussion, so Buckmcgoo was within his rights to comment on your complaints.  There is a job board on this site which you can see on the menu to the left where you can post projects and request developers to bid on them.
