Windows 10 New Browser doesn't support Login

Hello,

It appears the new Windows 10 Browser "Microsoft Edge" by default will not allow Login
into Dolphin due to the Member Page Refresh. It cannot be canceled,
or refreshed out of itself. It just holds an individual stuck halfway through
the login.

Tried opening a new window and backing into the site,
and I was able to get to some pages but not all features worked.

Anyone know a fix to this Windows 10, as it is replacing desktops for FREE.
It still has bugs and is not widely open to the public yet. But when it does
it seems like the default won't let member or potential members
in the site.

Ideas?

 I'm using Win 10 and just tested all my sites with Edge and have no problem.

If you would like I can test your site, PM with the URL if needed.

Same infinite loop login issue with Windows 10/Edge found on my site today.

I had this problem when I CHMOD'd 777 to a bunch of module directories AND their subdirectories and files.  The trick for me was, using the detailed Dolphin instructions, to ONLY CHMOD 777 to the root directory (./module/data/images or whatever was in the instructions) for each module, subs and other files within should stay 755 or 644 based on the module.

Of course, I'm about as stupid as it gets with this stuff, so I could have inadvertently fixed it some other way.  It just happens that it was fixed after I fixed permissions.

 You are correct. I tested on a site without a redirect.

The link above suggest two files that must be modified but it seems like it did not fix the issue on my site.

Make sure the changes have been fully made - red means remove, green means add. There's also a template file change there, so make sure the cache has been fully cleared after.

I believe it is only a 7.1 issue. After upgrading to 7.2 I've never seen the issue again.

 hmm i wonder how about 7.0.9 ...is it Edge browser friendly too..

 

WIN 10 doesn't like 7.1.6  or 7.1. at lease in my attempts. I tried it with two different systems loging into both Dolphin platforms.

I stand corrected. 7.2 is working with WIN 10 now.

Its been so long I didn't go back and check 7.2 with WIN 10. Don't use it, just verify it for members.

Only verified 7.1.6 that I still have an active copy running.
