I can't believe no one has undertaken this successfully yet.

It's PHP for criminies sake! One of you PHP gurus ought to be able to handle this! A complete, functional mod that replaces ALL the fish forum crap would be worth big bucks around here.!!!

Probably because he's a miserly old bastard, and  'fish forum" sounds better than "aquatic mammal forum".

I wonder also considering both Dolphins and Orca Whales are mammals, not fish.

I might consider doing it. My big plans got put on hold when the bank decided to screw me and start forclosure on my house. Well, business owned house, not mine, but still, it would have been nice if my business partner had informed me the property taxes have not been paid for the last 5 years.

I have an old version of the phpbb mod (I think esase's) but it's not supported anymore and am wary about using it on my 7.09 site.

Contact with Esase has revealed she is not doing the phpbb integrations now because it's become too complicated.

I was hoping to integrate phpbb throughout the whole site. That's the part that stops everyone.

Oh, just a side note. I tried to join your site and the join form is hanging... Can't seem to get it done.

That is strange. Only thing was done I upgraded to 7.09 from 7.06. I just tested it and it does not work...hmmm any ideas?

I'm not sure. I know a lot was changed. Do you have any modifications in the join form outside of the default block setup?

You may need to get one of the gurus here to take a peek. I'm sure it's a simple solution but I'm not qualified to fix it.

Is your integration a "module" as in you just dropped it in the "modules" directory and then just click install in admin OR did someone actually manually integrate phpbb3 into your site? If it was a manual integration then you really can't upgrade the site without having someone redo all the work that was done. When you upgrade Dolphin the files are overwritten and any code changes are lost.

If it was a "module" that you installed then the mod author probably just needs to upgrade a little code.

I bought the module from the market place. He had to manually install it. I emailed him and he said he will fix the join.php for an additional $10. He said the upgrade was not 100% done.

I dont see why I need to pay an extra $10 for something that he knew about and he was suppose to update.

Yeah, most people who get a lot of manual code changes done get stuck at whatever version they are using at the time because it gets expensive to pay the devs each time an upgrade comes out.

If you still have the old join.php in a backup you can run a "diff" and figure out what coded needs to be moved over. It would save you $10.

I don't think this is an issue with the actual join.php, I did replace it with a backup version which is exactly the same as the current one.

Hey Skyforum...I will be working with my programmers to release a REAL phpbb3 integration module. Can you list some features you would like to see or suggest that are different from the ones you see here.

I restored back to my old inc/design.inc.php from Dolphin 7.0.6
